The goal of the companionship care is to offer emotional support and socialization while helping them with various tasks such as lighthouse keeping. Some of the elderly or the physically challenged may have periodical friends who visit them, we offer formal companion care services as part of the overall care. The companions vary in frequency depending on the client’s unique needs to make life more manageable. For clients who experience loneliness and isolation, we take time to engage in conversation, walks, and playing games to offer emotional and social support
Home Making
We at Sheltering Arms Home Health Care, ‘Your Care, In Our Arms” specialize in providing services to families in their homes to support their efforts to maintain household operations during periods of difficulties. We can teach children, strengthen the family and prevent the need for foster care placement.
Personal Care
We offer personal care to ensure our clients live comfortably and safely. We ensure personal hygiene (bathing, showering, shaving, oral hygiene, as well as nail care), continence management (toileting, bed changing, catheter care, and skincare), nutrition (help with food preparation and eating), dealing with immobile clients, offering counseling and support, assisting with medication, and personal assistance (dressing, getting in and out of bed, help in using prostheses, and surgical appliances). Moreover, care can involve administering injections and managing pressure sores
Transportation
There is a progression of the aging population and special attention is required to meet the changing needs. The elderly, the physically challenged, and people with cognitive problems need suitable forms of transportation for their continued participation in desired economic, social as well as recreational activities. We offer transportation services to facilitate social interaction, community participation, and access to medical care, and goods and services
Respite Care
In Sheltering Arms Home Health Care, we believe Your Care is In Our Hands, in this regard, we provide short-term relief for primary caregivers. We understand that taking care of an elderly or physically challenged individual is demanding. As a result, our short-term break offers some relief or break from the demands of caregiving. We create a plan of care about the number of hours needed for a break that in turn helps to relieve stress, restore energy, and promote work-life balance.
Roles & Responsibilities
Registered Nurse
The roles of the registered nurse will vary depending on the environment. Nevertheless, their responsibilities will include monitoring patients, performing physical examinations and diagnostic tests, counseling and educating patients, administering medication, and consulting with physicians to decide on the best treatment plan. The registered nurse has a number of skills necessary when offering care
CNA
The certified Nursing Assistant meets our clients’ needs and is responsible for many tasks to ensure that each patient receives comprehensive and personalized care. They groom, dress, bathe, and help with eating and exercising. They also help registered nurses with medical tasks such as physical examinations and patient monitoring.
Caregivers
Caregivers are termed as paraprofessionals, at Sheltering Arms Home Health Care, Your Care in Our Arms, the caregivers meet the state-set training requirements. They assist with activities of daily living, check vital signs, monitor the patient’s physical and mental well-being, moreover, handle emergencies.
Administrative Assistant
The assistant will be responsible for the overall management of the Home Health Care Agency program
